How and when did Michigan Pain Specialists start? What was the founding vision?

In 2003, Interventional Pain Doctors were rare to find. Our 3 doctors had the vision to make Michigan Pain Specialists and become a premier Interventional Pain Clinic that would become what it is today. Our 3 partners made a mission to help patients who were beyond the service that other hospital departments were capable of, to become the group known to help patients with the most devastating pain problems. Of course, we enjoyed helping patients with easy pain problems. We feel fulfilled to help patients who saw one, two, or three pain doctors and turned them into the successes we still enjoy today. Our tools were different. Over the years, with each advancement of pain medicine, our doctors would evaluate products and pick the ones that were most promising. These became a major advantage that we could offer patients that was different from any other pain practice. Our board-certified doctors, Dr. Louis Bojrab, MD, FIPP, Dr. John Chatas, MD, FIPP, and Dr. Edward Washabaugh, MD, FIPP, worked very diligently to produce peer-reviewed research to help the future of patients. We are proud of our advantages, and we plan to always be at the forefront of interventional pain practice to better our patients and communities.
