Dr. Edward Washabaugh was born in Bay City, Michigan, and is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Medicine and the College of Literature, Science, and Arts. His residency in anesthesiology was at the University of Iowa. He is a fellow in interventional pain practice. Dr. Washabaugh has 25 years of experience in interventional pain management with special clinical and research interests in spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal pain pumps, and minimally invasive spinal surgery. Dr. Washabaugh is a founding member of Michigan Pain Specialists. In addition to his medical practice, he is on the executive board of the Michigan Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the Washtenaw County Medical Society.
Dr. Washabaugh is board-certified in pain management by the American Board of Pain Medicine and has added qualifications in pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is re-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the Michigan State Medical Society.
